Little Mamas

While I'm working with the school kids, the little girls are so good about helping baby Addy.  They'll lay on the floor with her, play with her, talk with her, and give her a paci - it's such a big help to us!

Dabney also like to steal Addy's bottles, blankets, and paci to give to her own baby :)

Addy is fortunate to have Dabney and Maclaren as her super sweet big sisters :)

We have a sweet two-year-old in the house :)

Happy SECOND Birthday Dabney!

Our little Dabs has grown up so much in these last few months.  She has gone from being a nursing babe to being a super big sister - she is seeming more and more like a big girl each day.   Her precious personality is becoming more apparent and her talking more abundant.

wants to wash her hands (all the time!)
enjoys bathtime
fearless in the water

wants to hold the baby
kitchen helper (climbs onto the grain bin to reach the counter)
takes her diaper off at night :(
wants to go potty like big sister
very protective of her things :)
asks to sing "Winnie the Pooh" each night
loves to read books
asks to be held
celebrates daddy when he arrives home - "daddy!"
prays with us each meal - "Amen!"
is adored by all of her older siblings
 dances to music

We are so thankful for Dabney.  We love our beautiful girl!

SIX

"Hi, my name is Kolpin.  I'm (one, two, three, four, five, six) six because it's my birthday.  I'm going to have a SpiderMan cake and I hope we get to move soon because I've never moved before.  I want to move to a different house in this neighborhood.  I have a big house now.  I'm going to open birthday presents and I had pancakes for breakfast.  I'm going to go out to a birthday dinner tomorrow: me, Hendrick, Davis, Hiwot, Burkey, Maegli, Mom and Dad, Tesfaye, Maclaren, Addy, and Dabney.  Mom has a silver watch.  We all made snakes.  I drawed a Pacman picture."

Cousin Camp

We have been looking forward all year (since the last Cousin Camp) to hosting our cousins, Zoey and Mackenzie, for a week of Cousin Camp!

The kids had a long list of fun activities planned for this year . . . we stayed busy!

Beach swimming, bike riding, t-shirt painting, paracord bracelets, melty beads, bread baking, soap making, karate lesson, Generals baseball game, roller skating, movie watching - it was a wonderful few days together!

We are so thankful we were able to squeeze in this special week before school started back.
Thank you Gramma for driving our cousins down for a visit and for helping to make this week special!

The kids are already planning next year's Cousin Camp!
(hopefully we can extend our camp to 2 weeks ;)
