Apple Picking
On this last day in September, our good pickers filled 4 half-bushel bags of gorgeous Jonagold, Melrose, and Golden Delicious apples at Rittman Orchards. This year we had 11 pickers (only missing our 2 eldest). Alarie was super into it and led the picking - she would pull her siblings along to point out the apple of choice and then excitedly run the apple to deposit into our bags. So cute!
Each year, I look forward to trips to local farms: strawberries in June, blueberries in July, apples in September, pumpkins in October, Christmas tree in December. We're learning our favorite spots in Northeast Ohio. I'm always thankful for the opportunity to have an outing outdoors with my kiddos!
*We also enjoyed prune plums, apple cider, and fresh apple donuts from the farm stand, and made our first batch of applesauce to enjoy with our dinner ;)
