Our sweet stinker is 3-years-old!

Addy is our cutie firecracker, personality, chatterbox, mover and shaker; apple eater, snack swiper, clothes changer; crib climber, song singer, book reader; beauty, runner, giggler, bed bouncer; social, bossy, possessive, busybody; kitchen helper, door opener (!), makeup artist; animal lover, big hugger, and JOY!

Happy Birthday Addison!

dislikes: going to bed, sharing, closed doors, waking up, being quiet, being too little to do things (she wants to be a big girl), having lotion rubbed on her skin everyday, not being in charge, bananas

best quality: her strong personality, she's funny and she's a lot of fun, her energy and charm, and she gives the best hugs :)

For Addy's 3rd birthday, we enjoyed a french toast breakfast at church, swam at a friend's lake house, grilled out hamburgers for dinner, and ate strawberry cake outside!

.  stuffed animal . coloring set . castle blocks . swimsuit . stickers . new dress . pjs . pink big wheel .

All day Addy proudly told people it was her birthday - she's been talking since Emmy's birthday last month: "Tomorrow my birthday!". . . she was so excited for it to finally be her birthday.
When asked how old she was, she responded with: "I two.  Tomorrow I be three!"

Addy brings us all so much joy - she is very loved by so many!

Final MS Track Meet

Jackson Tesfaye's track season is coming to a close - the middle school season is over.  We all traveled to watch him compete in the final meet.

His final meet, Tesfaye competed in the 1600m (mile - 4 laps), 800m (1/2 mile - 2 laps), and 300m (3/4 lap) - he was busy on the track and worked hard.  This evening he finished 1st in the 1600m and 800m, and placed 3rd in the 300m!

It's been an exciting season to watch.  Tesfaye is continuing to train with the HS varsity team.  He'll be traveling with the team as a backup runner as they work towards the State competition and will be running the 1600m at the varsity Sub Sectional meet.  He's hoping for a personal best.

For this final meet, Tesfaye finished 1st in the 1600m, 1st in the 800m, and 3rd in the 300m.  It was a busy night and he ran really well.  It's been an exciting 7th grade track season!

Season stats (7 meets):
1600m - 4-1st place, 1-2nd place  (personal best: 5.18)
800m - 2-1st place, 1-2nd place, 1-*3rd place (*8th grade) (personal best 2.24)
400m - 2-2nd place (personal best 1.04)
300m - 1-1st place, 1-3rd place (personal best 0.47)

4x200 relay - 4-1st place (8th grade), 1-2nd place (8th grade)

*Jackson Tesfaye finished top three each time he competed.

*Update:  Wearing the varsity tank jersey, Jackson Tesfaye ran the 1600m (mile) in the HS Varsity Sub-sectional meet.  It was a hot afternoon and we thoroughly enjoyed watching amazing HS athletes.  Tesfaye finished 8th as part of the lead group of runners, running a personal best time of 5.09 (shaving 9 seconds off his previous best time and beating his goal of 5.10)!  What a great way to finish a great season!   Our 7th grader earned a HS varsity letter - so proud!

Mama

I am such a lucky mama.
But, it's so much more than luck.
I have been blessed.

(This Mother's Day I have one kid taller than me, and one kid very close - they're growing so fast!).
