A year and a half . . .
Our girl Addy is 18-months-old.
She is loud and chatty, social and snuggly, busy, assertive, strong, and incredibly coordinated. Addison has a large personality and will certainly never go unnoticed - she's quite extraordinary!
We love her so much!
Kolpin: She likes to play with "crabby." She hugs crabby. (Kolpin's stuffed animal) She like to play "I'm gonna get you!"
Maegli: She loves doing piggy back rides. She also loves my big unicorn - she snuggles with it. And she's really really cute.
Burke: She's trouble. She makes a mess a lot and she's really loud.
Jackson: She gives the best hugs, pats people on the back, gives kisses and she dances to music. And, she's a fighter. She also loves to play with Layla, and tries to pick up Emory. And she steals her paci.
Hiwot: She loves to play tag, but we have to get her. She giggles and looks back at us.
Davis: She's adventurous and like to get into stuff.
Hendrick: She likes to try to squash Emory, she like to sit on Emory. She also asks to be picked up by anyone, even strangers.
Words:
"Mama" - semi-universal, used to ask to be picked up . . . or to single out mama
"More" - said when there's food
"Milk"
"paci"
"daddy"
"tes-e-ay look"
"book"
"up" - asking to be picked up from her crib
"out" - asking to go outside
"go!"
"Thank you"
"No!"
"Mine"
"baby"
"La-la" (layla)
Addison babbles all day, a non-stop dialog - I'm sure she is saying a lot more than the few repeated words we recognize, and often surprises us with very clear phrases. She's quite amazing.
She also semi-says the names of her siblings, baby signs "dog" and "cat," and puts on clothes from the laundry bin (underwear on her head and big socks on her legs). She wont eat bananas, rubs food in her hair, and prefers bread and crackers - she's a carb girl. She loves swings and slides, running and climbing, and taking off her shoes. She is incredibly affectionate and gives the best hugs and kisses, and has a great giggle. She is always moving, always busy, and loves a good game of "chase" - she is constantly running off.
Addy keeps us busy, keeps us entertained, and brings so much joy into our household.
