Four Lovelies

Our girls outnumber our boys six to five, and our four youngest girls all fall within just four years of each other.  These four little ones with their spunk and sass and sweetness, blanket forts and tutus and tea parties, are such a blessing to our family.  I have a feeling these sisters will keep us on our toes for many many years to come.  I am thankful for my little ones, our lovelies :) 

Maclaren at five is seeming so mature these days, our little teenager.  She keeps up with her big sisters and is the gentle leader of this younger crew of girls.
Four-year-old Dabney is such a cutie and full of spunk.  She's our giggler and dancer and bedtime delayer and Maclaren's faithful sidekick. 
Addison is our strong and sassy two-year-old.  She is such a smart one and a bit bossy but also a mimic of her big sisters and little mama to Emmy. 
Emory, at 19 months, is such the sweetie.  She adores her sisters and is seeming so big and pleased with herself as she joins in their play.

Blue Ridge Parkway

A few weeks ago, our family enjoyed a magical drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway - clearing out of the house for a few showings gave us a great excuse for adventure. 

This National Parkway allows a quiet and relaxing drive with stunning vistas of mountains and landscapes of the Appalachian Highlands along its nearly 500 miles through North Carolina and Virginia.  We only traversed 35 miles of the parkway around Boone, North Carolina, but saw such awesome and diverse views with the clouds blowing over over the mountains and, thanks to the higher elevation, snow! 

I am so thankful we had this opportunity to drive a small portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and cross off another bucket list item.  Gorgeous! 

Our Home

Welcome to our home.
It's been a great home to our family . . . and now it's for sale.  We're praying it sells quickly(!) and that the next family will enjoy it as much as we have.

I'm quite proud of our crew, getting the house ready to sell and on the market in just 2 weeks (all with Mike out of town).  It certainly hasn't been easy, but we've gotten our showing prep routine down and are doing our best to stay on top household chores so we can mobilize quickly and clear out of the house.  With the housing market slowing for the season, it's not the ideal time to be selling, but we're thankful to have had several showings and even a few offers(!) - we're praying the right one comes soon.  
I am so thankful for my crew of helpers!  

We sure will miss this home and neighborhood!
It's only been 17 months, we're sad to be moving away so soon. We have loved this house and property and neighbors, and have really enjoyed this region (we love the mountains!).  This was a hard transition for us (me) moving here. We were just starting to feel settled, it's hard to pick up again and start over.

But we're eager to join Mike in our new location and looking forward to this next adventure up north. I look forward to seeing what God has in store for our family.  His Will be done. 

This has been an amazing home for our family.  
I feel fortunate to have lived here for 17 months.  I am thankful.  
We had planned to be in this home for much longer, but we're excited to see what the future holds for our family and we're moving forward in faith.

We certainly plan to enjoy and make the most of our last two weeks here.
